The DeVilbiss Advance HD Pressure Feed HVLP Spray Gun Kit (ADV-P506-14) is a mid-sized industrial spray gun configured for pressure-feed operation with HVLP compliant atomization and low air consumption. This kit includes the Advance HD pressure-feed gun body with the No. 506 HVLP air cap and a 1.4mm stainless steel fluid tip and needle. Gun only — no cup included. The 506 HVLP cap is a manual-only air cap that delivers HVLP-compliant atomization at significantly lower air consumption than the larger 507 — making it the right choice for shops where compressor capacity is limited or where a more compact spray pattern with controlled fluid output is preferred.

What's in the Kit

The ADV-P506-14 ships with the Advance HD pressure-feed gun body, No. 506 HVLP air cap, and 1.4mm stainless steel fluid tip and needle. The pressure-feed configuration connects to external fluid supply systems including pressure tanks, remote cups, and recirculating lines. The gun features a 1/4" universal thread air inlet and a 3/8" universal thread fluid inlet (both accept BSP and NPS connectors). Optional accessories include the stainless steel fluid filter kit (VSA-512) and tungsten carbide or hardened tips and needles for abrasive materials. Hardened and tungsten carbide options are available in the 1.4mm size.

No. 506 HVLP Air Cap Performance

The No. 506 HVLP air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 19 psi (1.3 bar) with an air consumption of 10.6 scfm (300 L/min) and produces a typical fan pattern of approximately 305mm (12.0"). The 506 consumes roughly 40% less air than the larger 507 HVLP cap while still delivering full HVLP-compliant atomization — making it one of the most air-efficient HVLP caps in the Advance HD range. The more compact 305mm fan pattern provides focused coverage that is well-suited for smaller parts, narrower surfaces, and detail work where the 507's wide 400mm fan would create unnecessary overspray. Paired with the 1.4mm fluid tip, this configuration delivers controlled mid-range fluid output for finish topcoats, light enamels, sealers, stains, and medium-viscosity coatings where surface quality and material efficiency are both priorities.
