The DeVilbiss Advance HD Pressure Feed Conventional Spray Gun Kit (ADV-P497-18) is a mid-sized industrial spray gun configured for pressure-feed operation with conventional atomization and high-capacity air delivery. This kit includes the Advance HD pressure-feed gun body with the No. 497 Conventional air cap and a 1.8mm stainless steel fluid tip and needle. Gun only — no cup included. The 497 Conventional cap is the highest-air-volume conventional cap in the Advance HD range — paired with the 1.8mm nozzle, it delivers the finest atomization and smoothest finish quality available for medium-viscosity materials in a conventional pressure-feed configuration.

What's in the Kit

The ADV-P497-18 ships with the Advance HD pressure-feed gun body, No. 497 Conventional air cap, and 1.8mm stainless steel fluid tip and needle. The pressure-feed configuration connects to external fluid supply systems including pressure tanks, remote cups, and recirculating lines. The gun features a 1/4" universal thread air inlet and a 3/8" universal thread fluid inlet (both accept BSP and NPS connectors). Optional accessories include the stainless steel fluid filter kit (VSA-512) and tungsten carbide or hardened tips and needles for abrasive materials. Hardened and tungsten carbide options are available in the 1.8mm size.

The 1.8mm fluid tip provides strong general-purpose fluid delivery for medium-viscosity materials including industrial enamels, lacquers, single-component primers, stains, sealers, and protective coatings — balancing fluid output with the 497's powerful atomization for a fine, even finish.
