Built around the DV1-S1+ HVLP Plus air cap (704452), this kit delivers a 7.9” spray pattern at 4.1 SCFM @ 25 PSI handle pressure. It includes two S-series fluid tips — 1.0mm (704457) and 1.2mm (704458) — plus the 125ml acetal cup.

The DV1-S1+ HVLP Plus cap is the wider of the two standard repair cap options in the DV1s lineup. At 7.9” it provides a generous fan for door panel spot repairs, quarter panel blending, and larger repair areas where the 2.4” Micro pattern of Kit 704531 is too small but a full-size gun would be inefficient. The S1+ cap’s 4.1 SCFM @ 25 PSI handle pressure delivers consistent, homogeneous atomization for an invisible repair finish.

What is the difference between Kit 704532 (S1+) and Kit 704533 (S2)?

Both kits include the same 1.0mm and 1.2mm S-series tips and the same 125ml acetal cup. The difference is entirely in the air cap. Kit 704532 uses the DV1-S1+ (704452) for a wider 7.9” pattern at 4.1 SCFM. Kit 704533 uses the DV1-S2 (704453) for a tighter 7.1” pattern at 4.6 SCFM. Which tip size should I use for clearcoat repairs?

The 1.2mm S tip (704458) is the most commonly used for spot clearcoat repairs — appropriate viscosity for most HS and UHS clearcoat systems at standard reduction. The 1.0mm (704457) suits thinner materials and tight spot work. Call or text 586-210-0555 to confirm for your specific brand.

Are the DV1s spare parts the same as the DV1 Basecoat and Clearcoat?

No — the DV1s is a different gun platform with its own specific spare parts. Service kits (704475 Minor, 704476 Major), air valve (704471), rear seal (704470), sleeve kit (704473), spray head kit (704462), and packing kit (905294) are all S-series specific. Can I buy the S1+ air cap separately to swap between kits?

Yes — the DV1-S1+ air cap (704452) is available separately. If you own Kit 704533 (DV1-S2) and want to try the S1+ 7.9” pattern, the cap can be purchased individually without buying a new complete kit. The DV1-S2 cap (704453) is also available separately. Is a 0.8mm S tip available for finer spot work?

Yes — the 0.8mm DV1-S tip (704456) is available separately. It uses the same DV1-S Needle (704459) and is compatible with both the DV1-S1+ and DV1-S2 air caps.
