The DeVilbiss DV1s Smart/Spot Repair Kit 704533 is the S2 configuration of the DV1s platform — the higher air volume, more concentrated repair cap in the standard lineup. Built around the DV1-S2 HVLP air cap (704453), this kit delivers a 7.1” spray pattern at 4.6 SCFM @ 25 PSI handle pressure. It includes the same two S-series fluid tips as Kit 704532 — 1.0mm (704457) and 1.2mm (704458) — plus the 125ml acetal cup.

The DV1-S2 HVLP cap delivers a tighter 7.1” fan at a higher air volume (4.6 SCFM) than the S1+ (4.1 SCFM / 7.9”). The more concentrated pattern and increased air energy make the S2 the preferred choice for painters who want a denser, more forceful atomization on spot repairs — particularly where material needs to be pushed into recesses, edges, and textured areas, or where the painter prefers a tighter fan for blending control.

How does the S2 cap differ from the S1+ in Kit 704532?

The S2 (this kit) delivers 4.6 SCFM at 7.1” — higher air volume through a tighter fan. The S1+ (Kit 704532) delivers 4.1 SCFM at 7.9” — slightly less air through a wider fan. Tips, needle, cup, gun body, and all spare parts are identical. The S2 is the preference for painters who want more concentrated atomization and denser coverage per stroke. Can I buy just the S2 air cap without a new complete kit?

Yes — the DV1-S2 air cap (704453) is available separately. If you own Kit 704532 (S1+) and want to try the S2’s tighter 7.1” pattern, just purchase the cap. The S1+ cap (704452) is also available separately. Please check product pages for current stock status.

Are the DV1s spare parts the same as the DV1 Basecoat and Clearcoat?

No — the DV1s is a different gun platform with its own specific spare parts. Service kits (704475 Minor, 704476 Major), air valve (704471), rear seal (704470), sleeve kit (704473), spray head kit (704462), and packing kit (905294) are all S-series specific. Which tip size should I use for clearcoat repairs with the S2?

The 1.2mm S tip (704458) is most commonly used for clearcoat spot repairs. The 1.0mm (704457) suits thinner materials and finer work. The 0.8mm (704456) is available separately for very thin materials. All three use the DV1-S Needle (704459). Call 586-210-0555 to confirm for your specific brand.

Should I stock all three DV1s kits?

Many professional spot repair shops stock all three configurations. The 704531 Micro handles stone chips and micro work; the 704532 (S1+) covers larger flat repair areas; and 704533 (S2) handles contoured work requiring more concentrated atomization.
