The Air Cap, Series 100H HVLP, 21-1097 is the atomizing air cap for C.A. Technologies spray guns across the Lynx, Jaguar, Panther and AutoCAT lines (full list below) — its center and horn jets break the fluid stream into the spray pattern, so the cap IS the finish quality.
Air caps fail two ways: plugged jets and worn seats. One blocked horn jet throws the pattern sideways or leaves tails; a damaged cap face never patterns right again. Soak in gun wash and clear jets with a soft pick — never wire. If a clean cap still sprays a bad pattern, replace it rather than chasing settings.
