Description
DeVilbiss Advance HD Gravity Feed Trans-Tech Spray Gun Kit (ADV-G510-18)
The DeVilbiss Advance HD Gravity Feed Trans-Tech Spray Gun Kit (ADV-G510-18) is a mid-sized industrial spray gun built for all-purpose finishing applications with Trans-Tech compliant atomization and low air consumption. This kit includes the Advance HD gravity-feed gun body with the No. 510 Trans-Tech air cap, 1.8mm stainless steel fluid tip and needle, and a 568mL standard gravity cup — ready to spray out of the box. The 510 Trans-Tech cap is the most air-efficient full-fan Trans-Tech cap in the Advance HD range, and paired with the 1.8mm nozzle it delivers reliable compliant coverage for medium-viscosity industrial coatings with minimal compressed air demand.
What's in the Kit
The ADV-G510-18 ships with the Advance HD gravity-feed gun body, No. 510 Trans-Tech air cap, 1.8mm stainless steel fluid tip and needle, and a 568mL standard gravity cup (GFC-501). The gun features a 1/4" universal thread air inlet and a 3/8" universal thread fluid inlet (both accept BSP and NPS connectors). Optional accessories include the blue polyester gravity cup for difficult fluids (GFC-511), stainless steel fluid filter kit (VSA-512), and tungsten carbide or hardened tips and needles for abrasive materials. Hardened and tungsten carbide options are available in the 1.8mm size.
No. 510 Trans-Tech Air Cap Performance
The No. 510 Trans-Tech air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 29 psi (2.0 bar) with an air consumption of just 10.0 scfm (283 L/min) and produces a typical fan pattern of approximately 270mm (10.6"). The 510 is the most air-efficient full-fan Trans-Tech cap in the Advance HD range — it consumes significantly less compressed air than the higher-capacity 513 or 522 caps while still delivering compliant-level transfer efficiency. This makes the 510 an excellent choice for facilities running smaller compressors, multi-gun setups sharing a single air supply, or applications where energy costs are a consideration. The 1.8mm fluid tip is a strong general-purpose size for gravity-feed work, providing solid fluid delivery for medium-viscosity materials with good atomization across the 510's moderate fan pattern.
Why Gravity Feed
Gravity-feed spray guns use a top-mounted cup that delivers material to the gun body by gravity. This format offers quick color changes, easy cleanup, and efficient material use — the cup drains completely with minimal waste. The included 568mL gravity cup provides practical capacity for mid-size production runs, touch-up work, and applications where multiple colors are cycled throughout the day.

Built for High-Demand Industrial Finishing
The Advance HD achieves superior atomization through high-capacity air passages and a separate balanced air valve that provides unrestricted airflow through the gun body. The heavily anodized aluminum alloy construction is built for durability in demanding production environments. Stainless steel fluid tips, needles, and passageways come standard for compatibility with both solvent-based and waterborne materials. The gun is CE marked and fully ATEX approved for use in hazardous atmospheres.
Ergonomic Design for Reduced Operator Fatigue
The Advance HD features a contoured handle design that greatly reduces RSI and operator fatigue during extended spray sessions. Increased finger space, lighter trigger pull tension, reduced trigger travel, and a self-adjusting PTFE needle packing assembly all contribute to a gun that is comfortable to use shift after shift. The built-in air inlet adjuster "cheater" valve provides at-the-gun pressure control for quick adjustments without leaving the spray area.
