Fast Color Changes, Straight From the Original Box
The Sprint 2 B is Wagner’s box-feed configuration of the Sprint 2 manual platform. Instead of transferring powder into a dedicated hopper, the Sprint 2 B draws powder directly from the supplier’s original 25 kg shipping box, which sits on an integrated electric vibrating table that keeps the powder fluidized and feeding evenly to the suction lance. This eliminates the hopper fill-and-clean step and turns color changes into a simple box swap.
The system is built around three core Wagner components: the PEM-X1 manual gun with integrated 100kV high-performance cascade and on-gun trigger controls, the WACON Sprint 2 XE control unit with Air Flow Control and Digital Surface Optimizer, and the Quick-Link injector (box-feed version, 2466079) which detaches all powder and air hoses with a single coupling.
The Sprint 2 B ships as a pre-assembled mobile unit on a 2-wheel cart with vibrating table, swivel arm and scraper ring, gun holder, hose management, grounding cable, and US mains cable. No hopper required — powder is pulled straight from the box on the vibrator, which is why this is the configuration of choice for shops that prioritize color-change speed over dedicated-color runs.

Robust swivel arm (2466049) holds the suction lance and pump over the box. Integrated scraper ring wipes the lance as it lifts out, eliminating hand-cleaning between colors.

Sprint 2 B Common Questions
How fast is a color change on the Sprint 2 B?
Much faster than a hopper system. Lift the suction lance (scraper ring auto-wipes), detach hoses with Quick-Link, clean the injector (opens tool-free), swap the box, drop the lance back in. No hopper to empty or clean. This is why job shops choose the Sprint 2 B over the Sprint 2 H.
Can I convert to hopper feed later?
What box sizes fit the vibrating platform?
Standard 25 kg powder supplier boxes and smaller fluid containers. The versatile platform accepts different box sizes without swapping hardware — useful when pulling from different suppliers or running smaller trial batches.
What does DSO actually do?
DSO dynamically modulates the charge profile to reduce overcharge and back-ionization on complex parts. When you spray a Faraday cage geometry at full voltage, charged powder can repel itself out of the recess. DSO pushes more powder into those areas for uniform film. Especially useful for decorative coatings, easy-to-charge powders, and short distances.
What compressed air do I need?
Clean, dry, oil-free compressed air. Moisture clumps powder and ruins fluidization; oil contaminates the charged cloud and causes fisheyes. We recommend a refrigerated dryer + coalescing filter. CET can spec compressor and air prep alongside the Sprint 2 B.
Same PEM-X1 gun on both Sprint 2 B and H?
Yes — identical PEM-X1 (2322587) with 100kV cascade, three charging curves, and on-gun controls. Also compatible with nozzle extensions, CoronaStar, and flat/round/cross nozzles.
Does it work with my existing booth?
Yes. Self-contained mobile unit, works with any NFPA 33 compliant manual powder booth. The system provides gun, controller, and powder feed; the booth provides recovery, airflow, and enclosure. CET can pair with a GFS booth for turnkey install.
