The DeVilbiss GPG Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency Primer Gun Kit (905027) is a multi-purpose professional spray gun configured for medium to heavy primer applications. This dual air cap kit includes the GPG gravity-feed gun body with both the PR10 High Efficiency and PR30 HVLP primer air caps, 1.8mm and 2.0mm stainless steel primer fluid nozzles, primer fluid needle, and a 900mL aluminum gravity cup — a production-ready primer setup built for surfacers, high-build primers, and standard-viscosity primer materials where strong fluid delivery and fast coverage are needed.
What's in the Kit
The 905027 ships with the GPG gravity-feed gun body, PR10 High Efficiency primer air cap and retaining ring (905209), PR30 HVLP primer air cap and retaining ring (905210), 1.8mm primer fluid nozzle (905215), 2.0mm primer fluid nozzle (905216), primer fluid needle (905218), and a 900mL aluminum gravity cup (702576). The gun features a 1/4" universal thread air inlet. Additional primer nozzles are available separately in 1.4mm (905213), 1.6mm (905214), and 2.5mm (905217) sizes. UV primer nozzles (UV1, UV2) and multi-purpose nozzles for basecoat/clearcoat work (1.2mm through 2.2mm) with corresponding air caps (7E7, GPG2, C86, C30) are also available separately.
Dual Air Cap Versatility — PR10 and PR30
The PR10 High Efficiency primer air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 26–29 psi (1.8–2.0 bar) with a maximum air consumption of 12.0 scfm (340 SLPM) and produces a fan pattern of 10.5–12.0 inches (265–305mm). The PR10 delivers efficient atomization at moderate air consumption — an excellent choice for controlled primer application where transfer efficiency and material savings are priorities. The PR30 HVLP primer air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 17–21 psi (1.2–1.4 bar) with a maximum air consumption of 16.0 scfm (450 SLPM) and produces a fan pattern of 11.0–13.0 inches (280–330mm). The PR30 delivers the widest fan pattern in the GPG primer range with HVLP-compliant atomization — ideal for rapid coverage on larger panels where regulatory compliance is required. The 1.8mm and 2.0mm primer nozzles sit in the mid-to-heavy range of the GPG primer lineup. The 1.8mm delivers strong fluid output for standard-viscosity primers and surfacers where good coverage per pass is needed without excess material build. The 2.0mm steps up to higher fluid delivery for thicker surfacers and heavier-bodied primer materials where maximum coverage and faster build-per-pass reduce overall application time. Both nozzles work with the dedicated primer fluid needle (905218).
905027 vs Other GPG Primer Kits — What's the Difference?
The 905026 covers the light primer range with 1.4mm and 1.6mm nozzles. The 905027 handles medium to heavy primers with 1.8mm and 2.0mm nozzles. The 905028 targets the heaviest high-build work with the 2.5mm nozzle. The 905036 is the UV primer specialist with UV1 and UV2 nozzles and a 560mL UV cup. All four kits include both the PR10 and PR30 air caps. Choose the 905027 when your primary primer work involves standard surfacers, medium-viscosity primers, and materials that need solid fluid delivery without jumping to the maximum 2.5mm output.
