Description

DeVilbiss GPG Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency UV Primer Gun Kit (905036)

The DeVilbiss GPG Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency UV Primer Gun Kit (905036) is a multi-purpose professional spray gun configured specifically for UV-cure primer applications. This dual air cap kit includes the GPG gravity-feed gun body with both the PR10 High Efficiency and PR30 HVLP primer air caps, UV1 and UV2 stainless steel fluid nozzles, UV primer fluid needle, and a 560mL UV-compatible gravity cup — a complete setup purpose-built for fast and efficient application of the latest generation UV-cure primer materials.

What's in the Kit

The 905036 ships with the GPG gravity-feed gun body, PR10 High Efficiency primer air cap and retaining ring, PR30 HVLP primer air cap and retaining ring, UV1 fluid nozzle, UV2 fluid nozzle, UV primer fluid needle (905219), and a 560mL UV-compatible gravity cup (905205). The gun features a 1/4" universal thread air inlet. A protective air cap cover for UV materials (PRO-46-K3, kit of 3) is available separately to prevent premature UV exposure and curing at the air cap during application. Optional standard primer nozzles (1.4mm through 2.5mm) and multi-purpose nozzles (1.2mm through 2.2mm) are also available separately for non-UV primer and basecoat/clearcoat applications.

Dual Air Cap Versatility — PR10 and PR30

The PR10 High Efficiency primer air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 26–29 psi (1.8–2.0 bar) with a maximum air consumption of 12.0 scfm (340 SLPM) and produces a fan pattern of 10.5–12.0 inches (265–305mm). The PR10 delivers efficient atomization at moderate air consumption — an excellent choice for controlled primer application where transfer efficiency and material savings are priorities. The PR30 HVLP primer air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 17–21 psi (1.2–1.4 bar) with a maximum air consumption of 16.0 scfm (450 SLPM) and produces a fan pattern of 11.0–13.0 inches (280–330mm). The PR30 delivers the widest fan pattern in the GPG primer range with HVLP-compliant atomization — ideal for rapid coverage on larger panels where regulatory compliance is required. The UV1 and UV2 nozzles are purpose-designed fluid nozzles optimized for the viscosity and flow characteristics of UV-cure primer materials. Both nozzles work with the dedicated UV primer fluid needle (905219).

Why UV Primer

UV-cure primers cure in seconds when exposed to UV light, dramatically reducing cycle times compared to traditional air-dry or bake-cure primers. This makes UV primer systems ideal for high-throughput body shops and production environments where booth time is at a premium. The GPG's UV-specific nozzles and UV-compatible cup are engineered to handle the unique material properties of UV primers while the protective air cap cover (sold separately) prevents premature curing from ambient UV exposure during spraying.

Built for Multi-Purpose Professional Refinishing

The DeVilbiss GPG addresses the market's demand for a cost-effective, multi-purpose spray gun that delivers solid performance with exceptional value. The anodized, drop-forged aluminum gun body provides renowned DeVilbiss ergonomics together with lightweight aluminum controls and smooth trigger action. The robust and smooth air valve design provides greater air and paint control to help ease fade-outs and blend-ins. Ultra-high flow fluid nozzles provide superb versatility across the major range of viscosities. Stainless steel fluid nozzles and needles paired with plated brass air caps ensure a long working life in demanding refinish environments. The gun weighs 500g and uses a 1/4" universal air inlet thread.
