Description
DeVilbiss GPG Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency Primer Gun Kit (905028)
The DeVilbiss GPG Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency Primer Gun Kit (905028) is a multi-purpose professional spray gun configured for the heaviest primer applications in the GPG lineup. This dual air cap kit includes the GPG gravity-feed gun body with both the PR10 High Efficiency and PR30 HVLP primer air caps, 2.5mm stainless steel primer fluid nozzle, primer fluid needle, and a 900mL aluminum gravity cup. The 2.5mm nozzle is the largest primer nozzle available for the GPG — built for maximum fluid delivery on high-build primers, thick surfacers, and heavy-bodied primer materials where fast coverage and rapid film build are the priority.
What's in the Kit
The 905028 ships with the GPG gravity-feed gun body, PR10 High Efficiency primer air cap and retaining ring, PR30 HVLP primer air cap and retaining ring, 2.5mm stainless steel primer fluid nozzle (905217), primer fluid needle (905218), and a 900mL aluminum gravity cup (702576). The gun features a 1/4" universal thread air inlet. Additional primer nozzles are available separately in 1.4mm (905213), 1.6mm (905214), 1.8mm (905215), and 2.0mm (905216) sizes. Multi-purpose nozzles for basecoat and clearcoat applications (1.2mm through 2.2mm) and corresponding air caps (7E7, GPG2, C86, C30) are also available separately, making the GPG platform expandable beyond primer-only use.
Dual Air Cap Versatility — PR10 and PR30
The PR10 High Efficiency primer air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 26–29 psi (1.8–2.0 bar) with a maximum air consumption of 12.0 scfm (340 SLPM) and produces a fan pattern of 10.5–12.0 inches (265–305mm). The PR10 delivers efficient atomization at moderate air consumption — an excellent choice for controlled primer application where transfer efficiency and material savings are priorities. The PR30 HVLP primer air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 17–21 psi (1.2–1.4 bar) with a maximum air consumption of 16.0 scfm (450 SLPM) and produces a fan pattern of 11.0–13.0 inches (280–330mm). The PR30 delivers the widest fan pattern in the GPG primer range with HVLP-compliant atomization — ideal for rapid coverage on larger panels where regulatory compliance is required. The 2.5mm primer nozzle delivers the highest fluid output available in the GPG primer range. This is the nozzle to choose when maximum film build per pass is needed — reducing the number of coats required and cutting overall application time on high-build and heavy surfacer work.
Built for Multi-Purpose Professional Refinishing
The DeVilbiss GPG addresses the market's demand for a cost-effective, multi-purpose spray gun that delivers solid performance with exceptional value. The anodized, drop-forged aluminum gun body provides renowned DeVilbiss ergonomics together with lightweight aluminum controls and smooth trigger action. The robust and smooth air valve design provides greater air and paint control to help ease fade-outs and blend-ins. Ultra-high flow fluid nozzles provide superb versatility across the major range of viscosities. Stainless steel fluid nozzles and needles paired with plated brass air caps ensure a long working life in demanding refinish environments. The gun weighs 500g and uses a 1/4" universal air inlet thread.
