When to Choose
Wide Spray
The flat spray nozzle produces a wide, even fan pattern that delivers fast coverage with minimal overlap. It’s the default choice when your workpieces have predominantly flat or gently contoured surfaces.
If your work involves complex 3D shapes, deep recesses, or Faraday cage areas, the PEM-X1 R Round Spray (2335844) with deflector cones is the better starting point. The gun body is identical — you can always add the round spray electrode holder and cones later.

Want round spray instead? Add the electrode holder X1 R (2322490) and your choice of deflector cone (D18 / D25 / D34) to convert your 2322587 to round spray. Same gun body — just swap the front end.

What You Need to Start Coating
The 2322587 is the gun only. Choose one of these paths to get a complete system:
Option 1: Add to Existing System
If you already have a Sprint 2 system with a control unit, just add a gun cable (6m or 15m) and connect. Ideal for adding a second gun or replacing a worn unit.
Option 2: Spray Pack
The Spray Pack (2467124) bundles the PEM-X1 gun, WACON Sprint 2 X control, PI-F1 injector, and powder hose set. Core components for building a custom system or a pre/post-coat station.

Standard nozzle vs. F1?
The included flat spray X1 (2321976) is the standard wide fan. The F1 (2420243) is an alternate flat pattern optimized for different spray distances. Both mount on the same electrode holder F.
Can I switch to round spray later?
Yes. Same gun body. Add the electrode holder R (2322490) and a deflector cone (D18/D25/D34). Swap the front end and you have round spray.
What control unit do I need?
Any WACON Sprint 2 control: Sprint 2 X, Sprint 2 XE, or Sprint 2 Expert. If starting from scratch, the Spray Pack (2467124) or a complete Sprint 2 system is the easiest path.
Does the CoronaStar work with this gun?
Yes. The CoronaStar (2322868) plugs directly into any PEM-X1 configuration for smoother finishes and reduced orange peel.
