Wagner Replacement Protective Wedge — Genuine PEM-X1 Spare Part (2320488) WEAR PART
The protective wedge is item 13 on the PEM-X1 exploded diagram — the small locking element that secures the electrode holder in the gun front end. The same wedge is used in both the fan-spray and round-spray configurations.
Wedges are a designated wear part: they take the clamping load every time the front end comes apart, and Wagner intends them to be sacrificial so the holder and housing are not. Pry them with the proper wedge tool (2324205), not a screwdriver, and keep spares — the tool + 20 wedge kit (2324124) is the economical way to stock them.
