Description

DeVilbiss GPG Gravity HVLP Gun Kit with 900mL Cup (905016)

The DeVilbiss GPG Gravity HVLP Gun Kit (905016) is a multi-purpose professional spray gun configured with the GPG2 HVLP air cap and three nozzle sizes focused on basecoat and clearcoat work. This kit includes the GPG gravity-feed gun body with the GPG2 HVLP air cap, 1.3mm, 1.4mm, and 1.5mm stainless steel fluid nozzles, multi-purpose fluid needle, HAV-501 air inlet adjustment valve with analog readout, and a 900mL aluminum gravity cup — a complete ready-to-spray package covering the core basecoat through clearcoat nozzle range with HVLP-compliant atomization.

What's in the Kit

The 905016 ships with the GPG gravity-feed gun body, GPG2 HVLP air cap and retaining ring (905230), 1.3mm fluid nozzle (905260), 1.4mm fluid nozzle (905261), 1.5mm fluid nozzle (905261), multi-purpose fluid needle for 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4mm nozzles (905267), HAV-501 analog air adjustment valve (180089), and a 900mL aluminum gravity cup (702576). The gun features a 1/4" universal thread air inlet. Additional fluid nozzles are available separately in sizes from 1.2mm through 2.2mm. The GPG platform also accepts high efficiency cap (7E7), primer air caps (PR10, PR30), and conventional caps (C86, C30) — all sold separately.

GPG2 HVLP Air Cap Performance

The GPG2 HVLP air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 22–26 psi (1.5–1.8 bar) with a maximum air consumption of 15.9 scfm (450 SLPM) and produces a fan pattern of 11.5–12.0 inches (290–310mm). The GPG2 is the wide-fan HVLP cap in the GPG range — it delivers the broadest spray pattern with high air volume for fast coverage on large surfaces while maintaining HVLP-compliant atomization. The GPG2 supports the widest nozzle range of any multi-purpose cap in the GPG lineup, from 1.2mm through 2.2mm, making it the most versatile HVLP option for shops that spray a variety of materials. With three nozzle sizes included, the 905016 covers the core basecoat and clearcoat range. The 1.3mm is the workhorse size for standard-viscosity basecoats and single-stage finishes. The 1.4mm handles clearcoats and heavier-bodied basecoats. The 1.5mm bridges into thicker clearcoats and light sealers where slightly more fluid output is needed. This nozzle combination makes the 905016 the ideal GPG2 kit for shops focused primarily on color and clear work.

905016 vs Other GPG2 Kits — What's the Difference?

The 905016 focuses on the basecoat/clearcoat range with 1.3mm, 1.4mm, and 1.5mm nozzles and a 900mL cup. The 905012 extends further into heavier materials with 1.3mm, 1.5mm, and 1.8mm nozzles and a 900mL cup. The 905013 is identical to the 905012 but with a 560mL Acetal cup instead. The 905014 targets heavy-duty work with 1.8mm and 2.2mm nozzles and a 900mL cup. Choose the 905016 when your primary work is basecoat and clearcoat refinishing.
