Overview

The Ultimate In
Fine Finish
Atomization.

The C.A. Technologies Lynx 300C (L300C) is a fine finish conventional spray gun designed for achieving the ultimate in fine finish atomization — automotive base and clear, stains and dyes, and furniture-grade wood finishes.

Its 12 point balanced plenum diffuses atomizing air into an even cone around the fluid stream. The result is uniform particle sizes and a flatter, smoother film — where conventional plenums produce mixed particles and orange peel. The patented 2-piece nozzle design pairs each orifice with its own matched air cap.

It runs 9–10.7 CFM at 45–55 PSI — light air demands for a production finish gun — from a pressure cup, CAT Pack, or siphon setup. CET stocks 5 matched configurations from 0.8mm to 1.6mm plus every spare part. US made in Louisville, CO.

Why the 300C

Fine Finish Without the Compressor Bill

12 Point Balanced Plenum

Twelve diffusion points create an even cone of atomizing air — uniform particles and a flat, smooth film instead of the orange peel that pressure spikes leave behind.

Patented 2-Piece Nozzle

Each orifice size is matched with its own 23-20XX air cap, so atomization stays balanced across the range instead of being tuned for one size.

Runs On 9–10.7 CFM

Full fine-finish atomization from a 3–5 HP class compressor — the lightest air demands in the Lynx production family.

CAT Pack Ready

Factory CAT Packs pair the 300C with a 1-quart pressure cup and regulator — a complete fine-finish outfit in one box (see below).

All Stainless Fluid Passages

Stains, dyes, waterbornes, and catalyzed clears all run through stainless — no corrosion, no color contamination between jobs.

Fine Finish Range

From 0.8mm stain work through 1.3–1.4mm base/clear to 1.6mm high solid clears and primers — five matched setups cover the finishing room.

Material Selection

Viscosity & Setup Guide

Factory material chart from the Lynx 300C sales literature — all setups run 9–10.7 CFM at 45–55 PSI, so choose purely by material.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Lynx 300C best for?

Fine finishing where conventional atomization is preferred: automotive base and clear, stains and dyes, furniture and cabinet finishing, and fine industrial coatings. It delivers the smoothest film in the conventional Lynx lineup.

What makes its finish smoother than a standard gun?

The 12 point balanced plenum. Twelve diffusion points create an even cone of air as the fluid atomizes, so particle sizes stay uniform and the film lays down flat. Guns without it produce pressure spikes — mixed particle sizes that read as orange peel.

How is it different from the Lynx 300H?

Same fine-finish design — 12 point plenum, matched 2-piece nozzles — but the 300H is the HVLP version (65%+ transfer efficiency, HVLP compliant), while the 300C is conventional. Choose the 300C where compliance is not required and you want conventional feel and speed; choose the 300H where it is.

What compressor does it need?

Just 9–10.7 CFM at 45–55 PSI — a 3–5 HP single-stage compressor covers continuous fine-finish work, making the 300C the easiest Lynx production gun to air. Call or text 586-210-0555 to confirm your setup.

What is a CAT Pack?

A factory outfit that pairs the 300C with a 1-quart pressure cup: the CP-L300C-PPSR2 uses the 3M PPS disposable-liner system with a regulator, and the CP-L300C-303R2 uses a durable aluminum cup. Both are stocked by CET and linked above.

Where are the spare parts and manual?

The full exploded breakdown is on the Lynx L300C Spare Parts & Breakdown page, and the factory manual is a free download via the button below. Call or text 586-210-0555 and CET will confirm part numbers for your serial.
