Overview

HVLP
At Its Finest.

The C.A. Technologies Lynx 300H (L300H) is the fine finish HVLP member of the Lynx family — designed for production use and the ultimate in fine atomization, while complying with all environmental regulations for HVLP at 65% or better transfer efficiency.

Two design features do the work. The 12 point balanced plenum diffuses atomizing air into an even cone around the fluid stream, producing uniform particles and a flatter finish where conventional plenums leave high-and-low spikes and orange peel. The patented 2-piece nozzle design pairs every orifice size with its own matched air cap, tip, and needle.

It runs at just 45 PSI inlet on 13.5 CFM, pressure fed from a cup or tank outfit. CET stocks 10 matched configurations from 0.8mm to 2.2mm plus every spare part. US made in Louisville, CO.

Why the 300H

Why Finishers Spec the 300H

12 Point Balanced Plenum

Twelve diffusion points build an even cone of air around the fluid stream. Uniform particles lay down flat — where guns without it produce mixed particle sizes and orange peel.

Patented 2-Piece Nozzle

Each orifice size ships as a matched set — air cap, fluid tip, and needle engineered together — so atomization stays balanced at every size instead of being tuned for one.

HVLP Compliant

65% or better transfer efficiency meets all environmental regulations for HVLP — more coating on the part, less overspray in the booth, less material bought per job.

Production Ready at 45 PSI

Full fine-finish atomization on 13.5 CFM at 45 PSI inlet — modest air demands for a production gun, easy on the compressor across a full shift.

Fine Finish Range

From 0.8mm stain and dye work through 1.3–1.4mm base and clear to 2.2mm high-build — ten matched setups cover the whole finishing room.

All Stainless Fluid Passages

Waterborne and catalyzed finishes, stains, and clears all run through stainless — no corrosion, no color contamination between jobs.

Viscosity & Setup Guide

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Lynx 300H best for?

Fine finishing in production: automotive base and clear, high solid clears, stains and dyes on furniture and cabinetry, and fine industrial finishes. It is the gun to choose when finish quality is the spec and HVLP compliance is required.

What makes its atomization better than a standard gun?

The 12 point balanced plenum. Twelve diffusion points create an even cone of air as the fluid atomizes, producing uniform particle sizes and a flatter finish. Without it, high and low pressure spikes create both very small and very large particles — which reads as orange peel on the panel.

Is it HVLP compliant?

Yes — the 300H achieves 65% or better transfer efficiency and complies with all environmental regulations for HVLP. Air cap test gauges are available from C.A. Technologies to verify cap pressure for compliance documentation.

What compressor does it need?

Every configuration draws 13.5 CFM at 45 PSI inlet. For continuous production spraying plan on a compressor delivering at least that continuously — typically a 5 HP class machine. For intermittent work a smaller compressor with recovery time may suffice. Call or text 586-210-0555 to confirm.

Can one gun cover multiple nozzle sizes?

Yes. Because of the 2-piece nozzle design, each size is a matched kit of air cap, fluid tip, and needle (for example JK1013 converts to 1.3mm). Buy the gun in your primary size and add nozzle kits for the others — call CET at 586-210-0555 to order kits.

Where are the spare parts and manual?

The full exploded breakdown is on the Lynx L300H Spare Parts & Breakdown page, and the factory manual is a free download via the button below. Repair kit 10-106 covers the rebuild.
