| What’s the difference between the PROLite and the PROLite-S? The PROLite is a full-size professional basecoat/clearcoat spray gun designed for full panel and overall refinish work, with larger air caps (TE10, TE20, TE25, T110, HV30) and 1.1–1.5 mm nozzles. The PROLite-S is the compact touch-up and spot repair version with smaller air caps (TE5, HV5, MC1, RS1), a 125 mL cup, and nozzle range from 0.6–1.4 mm — purpose-built for SMART repairs, bumper work, and blending metallics over small areas. |
| Does the PROLite-S replace the SRi-Pro Lite? Yes. The PROLite-S is the factory successor to the DeVilbiss SRi-Pro Lite. It uses the same air caps (TE5, HV5, MC1, RS1) with an upgraded gun body, improved ergonomics, and the heavy-duty anodized finish from the PROLite platform. |
| Which air cap should I choose? For general spot repair and touch-up work on basecoats and clearcoats, the TE5 (High Efficiency) is the most versatile choice with the lowest air consumption at 3.5 cfm. The HV5 (HVLP) provides a slightly wider fan for larger spot repairs. The MC1 is a specialized micro cap for pinpoint repairs with a 25 mm (1") pattern — ideal for very small chips and blemishes. The RS1 delivers a round spray pattern for specialized applications. |
