Description

DeVilbiss PROLite-S Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency Micro Gun Kit with 125mL Cup (905081)

The DeVilbiss PROLite-S Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency Micro Gun Kit (905081) is a professional micro spot repair spray gun designed for the smallest, most precise repair work in automotive refinishing. This dual air cap kit includes the PROLite-S gravity-feed gun body with both the HV5 HVLP and MC1 High Efficiency micro air caps, 0.6mm stainless steel fluid nozzle, matching fluid needle, and a 125mL Acetal gravity cup. The MC1 micro cap produces a pinpoint 25mm (1") spray pattern at just 1.8 cfm air consumption — purpose-built for chip repairs, blemish touch-ups, and micro damage where blending over the smallest possible area is essential to an invisible repair.

What's in the Kit

The 905081 ships with the PROLite-S gravity-feed gun body, HV5 HVLP air cap and retaining ring, MC1 High Efficiency micro air cap and retaining ring, 0.6mm stainless steel fluid nozzle, PROLite-S fluid needle, and a 125mL Acetal gravity cup. The HV5 cap provides a full-size fan pattern for larger spot repairs when needed, while the MC1 delivers the ultra-precise micro pattern for pinpoint work. Additional fluid nozzles are available separately — 0.8mm (905317), 1.0mm (905318), 1.2mm (905319), and 1.4mm (905320) — along with the TE5 High Efficiency air cap (905316) and RS1 round spray air cap (905315) for expanded application versatility. Note: the MC1 micro cap is designed exclusively for the 0.6mm nozzle.

Dual Air Cap Versatility — MC1 and HV5

The MC1 High Efficiency micro air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of just 15 psi (1.0 bar) with an air consumption of only 1.8 cfm (50 L/min) and produces a pinpoint fan pattern of approximately 25mm (1.0") at 50–100mm spray distance. The MC1 is the most specialized cap in the PROLite-S range — it is designed exclusively for micro chip repairs, stone chip touch-ups, and tiny blemish corrections where the repair area must be kept as small as possible. The 0.6mm nozzle paired with the MC1's ultra-low air volume delivers a controlled micro stream of material with minimal overspray, enabling repairs that blend invisibly into the surrounding finish. The HV5 HVLP air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 29 psi (2.0 bar) with an air consumption of 4.8 cfm (135 L/min) and produces a typical fan pattern of approximately 160mm (6.3"). The HV5 provides HVLP-compliant atomization with a full-size spot repair pattern — giving the operator the ability to step up to larger repairs, bumper work, or wheel refinishing without changing guns. When using the HV5 cap, swap to a larger nozzle (0.8mm or 1.0mm sold separately) for optimal fluid delivery at the wider fan width.

Built for Professional Micro Repair

The PROLite-S is precision-engineered for perfect atomization of all the latest waterborne and solventborne automotive refinish coatings, including low-VOC, high-solids, metallic, and special-effect materials. The compact front end provides optimum visibility of the fan pattern even when working in restricted spaces — critical for pinpoint micro work. The heavy-duty anodized forged aluminum gun body is built for the durability needed in today's high-throughput body shops. Stainless steel fluid nozzles and needles paired with plated brass air caps ensure a long working life in demanding refinish environments. The lightweight, precision-engineered trigger action ensures excellent control for superb feathering — essential when working with a 25mm micro pattern where even the slightest trigger variation affects the repair.

Typical Applications

The 905081 with the MC1 cap and 0.6mm nozzle is purpose-built for stone chip repairs, micro blemish correction, pinpoint touch-ups, small scratch blending, and SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technique) micro repairs. The included HV5 cap expands the gun's range to standard spot repairs, bumper bars, wheels, and larger touch-up blending when paired with a bigger nozzle.
