Overview

Gravity Feed.
Every Coating.
One Gun.

The C.A. Technologies Jaguar 100C (J100C) is a gravity feed conventional spray gun engineered for the full spectrum of coating applications — from thin lacquers and enamels through heavy body primers, high solid coatings, and polyester gelcoat.

With all stainless steel fluid passages, a forged aluminum body, and 13 CET Verified configurations spanning 1.0mm through 2.8mm, the Jaguar 100C handles virtually any coating a gravity gun can be asked to spray — including C.A. Technologies’ own recommended gelcoat setup at 2.8mm × 2268.

The 700mL gravity cup threads directly onto the gun — no pressure pot, no hose management, no external supply required. Portable enough for touch-up work, robust enough for production panel finishing. US made in Louisville, CO.

Why the J100C

Conventional Dependability Across Every Viscosity

Gravity Feed Simplicity

The 700mL cup attaches directly via 16mm × 1.5mm threads. No external pressure supply required — portable, fast to set up, practical for both shop and field use.

All Stainless Fluid Passages

Full chemical resistance to lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, automotive coatings, and gelcoat resins. No corrosion or degradation over extended production use.

C.A. Tech Gelcoat Spec

The 2.8mm × 2268 setup (J100C-28-2268-401) is C.A. Technologies’ own recommended configuration for polyester gelcoat — the widest fan and largest orifice in the lineup.

Carbide at 2.8mm

The J100C-28V-2268-401 provides extended orifice life for abrasive or particle-laden materials that cause accelerated wear on standard stainless nozzles at 2.8mm.

13 Verified Configurations

From 1.0mm thin lacquers to 2.8mm ultra-heavy gelcoat, with multiple air cap options at key orifice sizes to fine-tune CFM and fan width to the application.

Production-Ready at 20 oz.

Lightweight enough for extended finishing sessions without operator fatigue. Forged aluminum body built to production standards for daily industrial use.

Material Selection

Viscosity & Orifice Guide

Match your coating to the correct orifice range, then use the configuration table below. Call or text 586-210-0555 to confirm compressor sizing before you order.

ViscosityZahn #2Typical MaterialsOrificeCompressor (Continuous)
Thin 16–20 sec. Lacquers, enamels, sealers, primers 1.0 – 1.3mm 3–5 HP single-stage
Medium 21–30 sec. Automotive base coat, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, clear coat 1.3 – 1.8mm 3–5 HP single-stage (12 CFM) or 5 HP two-stage (15 CFM)
Heavy >30 sec. Heavy body primers, high solid enamels, adhesives 1.8 – 2.2mm 5 HP two-stage or 7.5 HP single-stage
Ultra-Heavy Gelcoat range Polyester gelcoat, very high viscosity coatings 2.8mm 5 HP two-stage or 7.5 HP single-stage

For intermittent or touch-up work, a smaller compressor with recovery time between passes may be sufficient. Call or text 586-210-0555 to confirm your compressor is sized correctly before ordering.

How Part Numbers Work

Reading a J100C Model Number

Every model follows: J100C – NOZZLE SIZE – AIR CAP – 401

ExampleNozzleAir CapSuffix
J100C-15-2266-401 1.5mm SS 21-2266 401 = 700mL cup
J100C-18-2466-401 1.8mm SS 21-2466 401 = 700mL cup
J100C-28V-2268-401 2.8mm carbide 21-2268 401 = 700mL cup

V suffix = tungsten carbide nozzle  ·  No V = 17-4PH stainless nozzle  ·  -401 = 700mL aluminum cup included with all configurations. Unsure? Call 586-210-0555.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Jaguar 100C best for?

A general-purpose gravity feed conventional gun covering thin lacquers and automotive enamels through ultra-heavy polyester gelcoat. Most notably, it’s C.A. Technologies’ own recommended gelcoat platform at 2.8mm × 2268. Also widely used in automotive refinishing, industrial coating, marine fabrication, and woodworking.

What is the difference between the air caps?

21-2266: 12 CFM, 12" fan — standard for 1.0–1.8mm gravity work. 21-2366: 12 CFM, 10" narrow fan for detail work. 21-2466: 15 CFM, 13" wider fan for production finishing. 21-2467: dedicated 2.2mm cap. 21-2268: dedicated 2.8mm gelcoat cap. Call 586-210-0555 to confirm.

What compressor do I need?

12 CFM caps (2266, 2366): 3–5 HP single-stage for continuous finishing. 15 CFM caps (2466, 2467, 2268): 5 HP two-stage or 7.5 HP single-stage for continuous finishing. For intermittent or touch-up work, a smaller compressor with recovery time may suffice. Call 586-210-0555 to confirm before ordering.

When should I choose the carbide 28V over standard stainless?

When abrasive fillers or particle-laden gelcoat are causing accelerated wear on your 2.8mm stainless nozzle. If your stainless nozzle holds up adequately, the standard J100C-28-2268-401 is the right choice. The carbide nozzle is also available separately (31-0628) as a drop-in upgrade.

What repair kit does the J100C use?

All J100C configurations use repair kit 10-105 — all seals, o-rings, needle seal, and springs for a complete rebuild. CET stocks repair kits for same-day shipment. Call or text 586-210-0555 to confirm availability.

Where is the parts manual?

Full parts manual with exploded diagram, parts list, and air cap chart available at the Jaguar J100C Spare Parts page or via the download button below. CET includes documentation with every order.
