Description
C.A. Technologies Lynx 100C Conventional Spray Gun — 2.2mm / 21-2201 Internal Mix Setup (L100C-22-201)
100 Series Conventional General Purpose | Internal Mix | US Made
The Lynx 100C (L100C) is C.A. Technologies' high quality general purpose conventional spray gun, available in pressure, siphon, and internal mix feed configurations. The L100C-22-201 setup pairs the 31-0622 fluid nozzle (2.2mm) with the 21-2201 internal mix air cap — a fundamentally different atomization method from the external mix air caps in the rest of the Lynx 100C lineup. Internal mix combines air and fluid inside the air cap before they exit the gun, making it the correct choice for very heavy body or non-atomizable materials that require internal mixing to achieve a usable spray pattern.
Note: The 21-2201 internal mix air cap requires the 21-1583 base and 21-1584 ring for proper installation. Built with a forged aluminum body and all stainless steel fluid passages, the Lynx 100C delivers conventional spray dependability across a wide range of coatings and industries.

Best for This Setup
The L100C-22-201 is the right configuration when your coating material is too heavy, too viscous, or too reactive to be atomized by a conventional external mix air cap. Internal mix atomization combines air and fluid inside the air cap before the mixture exits the gun — this produces a coarser, wetter droplet pattern compared to external mix, but it enables spraying of thick-bodied materials, catalyzed two-component coatings, and heavy adhesives that would either clog or fail to atomize at all through a standard external mix setup. The 2.2mm orifice paired with the 21-2201 and the 21-1583/21-1584 base and ring provides maximum fluid throughput at extremely low air consumption (5.2 CFM), making this a practical option for shops with limited compressor capacity that still need to spray high-viscosity industrial coatings. If your material is so thick that external mix setups produce a coarse, spitting pattern even at maximum pressure, internal mix is the correct solution — and the L100C-22-201 is how you get there on the Lynx 100C platform.
