Description
DeVilbiss PROLite-S Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency Gun Kit with 125mL Cup (905082)
The DeVilbiss PROLite-S Gravity HVLP & High Efficiency Gun Kit (905082) is a professional touch-up and spot repair spray gun that combines the fit, feel, and balance of the renowned PROLite with the compact dimensions essential in a spot repair gun. This dual air cap kit includes the PROLite-S gravity-feed gun body with both the HV5 HVLP and TE5 High Efficiency air caps, 1.0mm stainless steel fluid nozzle, matching fluid needle, and a 125mL Acetal gravity cup — a complete setup for precision repair work right out of the box. The PROLite-S is famous for exceptional handling, delicate trigger control, and the ability to blend solid colors — particularly metallics and special effect colors — over a small area.
What's in the Kit
The 905082 ships with the PROLite-S gravity-feed gun body, HV5 HVLP air cap and retaining ring, TE5 High Efficiency air cap and retaining ring, 1.0mm stainless steel fluid nozzle, PROLite-S fluid needle for 0.8 and 1.0mm nozzles (905323), and a 125mL Acetal gravity cup. Additional fluid nozzles are available separately — 0.8mm (905317), 1.2mm (905319), and 1.4mm (905320) — along with the MC1 micro air cap (905314) and RS1 round spray air cap (905315) for expanded application versatility.
Dual Air Cap Versatility — TE5 and HV5
The TE5 High Efficiency air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 29 psi (2.0 bar) with an air consumption of 3.5 cfm (100 L/min) and produces a typical fan pattern of approximately 180mm (7.1"). The TE5 is the most versatile general-purpose cap in the PROLite-S range — it delivers excellent atomization at the lowest air consumption of the two fan-pattern caps, making it the go-to choice for spot repair work on both basecoats and clearcoats. The HV5 HVLP air cap operates at a recommended inlet pressure of 29 psi (2.0 bar) with an air consumption of 4.8 cfm (135 L/min) and produces a typical fan pattern of approximately 160mm (6.3"). The HV5 provides HVLP-compliant atomization with a slightly wider pattern for larger spot repairs where regulatory compliance is required. The 1.0mm nozzle is the standard size included with this kit — it provides controlled fluid delivery for basecoat and clearcoat spot repair applications where precision blending and minimal overspray are critical.
Built for Professional Spot Repair
The PROLite-S is precision-engineered for perfect atomization of all the latest waterborne and solventborne automotive refinish coatings, including low-VOC, high-solids, metallic, and special-effect materials. The compact front end provides optimum visibility of the fan pattern even when working in restricted spaces. The heavy-duty anodized forged aluminum gun body is built for the durability needed in today's high-throughput body shops. Stainless steel fluid nozzles and needles paired with plated brass air caps ensure a long working life in demanding refinish environments. The lightweight, precision-engineered trigger action ensures excellent control for superb feathering. Minor repairs can be completed to full warranty standards quickly and efficiently with minimal paint — all while maintaining pinpoint color accuracy.
Typical Applications
The PROLite-S with the 1.0mm nozzle is purpose-built for spot repairs, bumper bars, wheels, SMART repairs, micro repairs, touch-up blending, and any application where a compact gun with precise material delivery is needed. The dual air cap configuration covers both HVLP-compliant and high-efficiency workflows from a single gun.
