Which Gun Do You Need
Wagner’s automatic guns are split by how they move: reciprocators/linear movers use the PEA-X1, robot arms use the PER-X1. Both share the same X1 gun core and nozzle ecosystem — the difference is mounting and cabling. If you’re running the legacy PEA-C4, the PEA-X1 is the direct retrofit.

The X1 Advantage
The biggest operational advantage of the X1 generation: if your facility runs reciprocators, robots, and manual touch-up, you stock one set of nozzles. Flat spray, deflector cones, CoronaStar, extensions, electrode holders, HC variants — all interchangeable across every X1 gun.
Common Questions
Reciprocator or robot?
Reciprocators (PEA-X1) for consistent shapes needing vertical travel. Robots (PER-X1) for varied geometry, multi-axis movement, and 3D scanning integration. Many facilities run both — the X1 platform means shared nozzles regardless.
I have PEA-C4 guns. What now?
The PEA-X1 is a direct drop-in retrofit. Improved coatings, lower powder consumption, reduced nozzle buildup. C4 nozzles are not X1-compatible — new nozzles required. CET helps plan the transition. See the C4 upgrade guide.
Same nozzles across all X1 guns?
Yes. PEA-X1, PER-X1, and PEM-X1 manual all share the X1 ecosystem: flat spray, deflector cones, CoronaStar, extensions, angled nozzles, HC variants. One inventory for your entire fleet.
What about manual guns?
The PEM-X1 is the hand-held variant of the X1 platform. Same cascade, same nozzles. Available as flat spray, round spray, cup gun, and spray pack. Pairs with Sprint 2 systems for complete manual setups.
