When to Choose
Round Spray
Deflector cones produce a 360° conical spray pattern that wraps powder around complex shapes, into recesses, and behind edges that a flat fan pattern simply can’t reach. The round spray PEM-X1 R is the right starting point when your workpieces have significant 3D geometry.
For predominantly flat panels or sheet metal, the PEM-X1 Wide Spray (2322587) delivers faster coverage. The gun body is identical — you can always add a flat spray electrode holder and nozzle later.

What You Need to Start Coating
The 2335844 is the gun only. Choose one of these paths to complete your system:
Option 1: Add to Existing System
Already have a Sprint 2 with a control unit? Add a gun cable (6m or 15m) and connect. Great for adding round spray capability alongside an existing flat spray gun.
Option 2: Spray Pack
The Spray Pack (2467124) bundles a PEM-X1 gun, WACON Sprint 2 X control, PI-F1 injector, and powder hose set. Core components for building a system. Note: ships with flat spray — swap with your 2335844 front end for round spray.

What’s included with 2335844?
Gun body, electrode holder R w/ nozzle (2322493), all three deflector cones (D18/D25/D34), cone sleeve, wedge, hook, wedge tool, hose take-up, union nut. Control unit and cable required separately.
Which deflector cone should I use?
D18 for tight recesses and channels. D25 is the general-purpose default for most 3D shapes. D34 for widest coverage on larger workpieces. All three included — try each on your parts to find the best match.
Can I switch to flat spray?
Yes. Same gun body as the 2322587 Wide Spray. Add the electrode holder F (2322529) and flat nozzle (2321976). Swap the front end and you have wide spray. Keep both setups and switch by job.
What control unit do I need?
Any WACON Sprint 2 control: X, XE, or Expert. Easiest path from scratch is the Spray Pack (2467124) or a complete Sprint 2 system.
CoronaStar compatible?
Yes. The CoronaStar (2322868) plugs into any PEM-X1 for smoother finishes and reduced orange peel. Works with both flat and round spray configurations.
