The CAT-Xpress - HVLP Air Cap (2.0 - 2.2) is the atomizing air cap for the C.A. Technologies CAT Xpress — its center and horn jets break the fluid stream into the spray pattern, so the cap IS the finish quality.

Air caps fail two ways: plugged jets and worn seats. One blocked horn jet throws the pattern sideways or leaves tails; a damaged cap face never patterns right again. Soak in gun wash and clear jets with a soft pick — never wire. If a clean cap still sprays a bad pattern, replace it rather than chasing settings.
