The H20-C407F is the waterborne C.A. Technologies Cougar - the full-size air-assist-airless gun set up with the fine-finish 36-407F tip (0.007” orifice, 40° angle, ~8” fan) for ultra-fine detail and very thin materials in water-based coatings.

At 0.007”, fluid delivery is approximately 5 oz/min at 1000 PSI. The all-stainless fluid section handles waterborne lacquers, stains, and topcoats without corrosion; the fine-finish F tip and 26-101 HVLP air cap break the coating into the soft, fine spray that water-based finishes demand - HVLP compliant at ≤15 PSI at the handle.

Airless fluid pressure does the primary atomization; a low volume of HVLP air refines the pattern. Runs on as little as a 1.5 HP compressor with a suitable AAA pump.

Full-Size Cougar Body HVLP compliant at ≤15 PSI air at the handle, with an integrated fluid filter and the same 26-101 air cap as every Cougar. Weighs 23 oz.

Fine-Finish F Tip The 36-407F is the fine-finish “F” version of the 0.007” / 40° tip - tuned for the softest break-up on water-based coatings that flash fast and show every defect.

What makes this the waterborne version? The Cougar gun body is all-stainless and handles water-based coatings directly. The waterborne build pairs it with the fine-finish 36-407F “F” tip for the soft atomization water-based lacquers and topcoats need to flow out cleanly.	Can I spray solvent coatings with it too? Yes — the all-stainless section handles both. For a solvent-first setup, the standard Cougar guns use the same platform. Ask CET which tip best fits your material.
What fluid pressure should I use? Start at 350–500 PSI and increase until atomization is consistent. Waterborne coatings at 0.007” typically atomize well below the maximum. Do not exceed 1500 PSI.
