Overview

Waterborne.
Fine Finish.

The H20-B413F is the waterborne C.A. Technologies Bobcat - the compact air-assist-airless gun set up with the fine-finish 36-413F tip (0.013” orifice, 40° angle, ~8” fan) for medium-viscosity production coatings in water-based coatings.

At 0.013”, fluid delivery is approximately 17 oz/min at 1000 PSI. The all-stainless fluid section handles waterborne lacquers, stains, and topcoats without corrosion; the fine-finish F tip and 26-101 HVLP air cap break the coating into the soft, fine spray that water-based finishes demand - HVLP compliant at ≤18 PSI at the handle.

Airless fluid pressure does the primary atomization; a low volume of HVLP air refines the pattern. Runs on as little as a 1.5 HP compressor with a suitable AAA pump.

Why This Configuration?

The Right Waterborne
Setup.

Built For Waterborne Water-based lacquers, stains, and topcoats on the all-stainless Bobcat fluid section - no corrosion, no contamination. The fine-finish F tip delivers the soft atomization premium waterborne finishes demand.
40° / 8” Pattern The 40° spray angle lays down an approximately 8” fan for medium-viscosity production coatings. Turn the fan control to narrow the pattern as the work requires.
Compact Bobcat Body HVLP compliant at ≤18 PSI air at the handle, with an integrated fluid filter and the same 26-101 air cap as every Bobcat. Weighs 17 oz.
Fine-Finish F Tip The 36-413F is the fine-finish “F” version of the 0.013” / 40° tip - tuned for the softest break-up on water-based coatings that flash fast and show every defect.

Application Match

CET Application Guide

Best-fit materialsWater-based lacquers, stains, and topcoats requiring a fine finish.
Fluid pressure guidanceStart at 350–500 PSI and raise until atomization is consistent. Do not exceed 1500 PSI.
Why the F tipThe fine-finish “F” tip gives the soft break-up water-based coatings need to flow out without orange peel.
Compressor sizingGun draws 6 CFM — most 1.5–3 HP compressors cover it. Add pump CFM for the total. Call 586-210-0555.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this the waterborne version?

The Bobcat gun body is all-stainless and handles water-based coatings directly. The waterborne build pairs it with the fine-finish 36-413F “F” tip for the soft atomization water-based lacquers and topcoats need to flow out cleanly.

Can I spray solvent coatings with it too?

Yes — the all-stainless section handles both. For a solvent-first setup, the standard Bobcat guns use the same platform. Ask CET which tip best fits your material.

What fluid pressure should I use?

Start at 350–500 PSI and increase until atomization is consistent. Waterborne coatings at 0.013” typically atomize well below the maximum. Do not exceed 1500 PSI.

What repair kit does it use?

10-137 covers routine soft-seal maintenance; 10-138 is the complete overhaul kit. CET stocks both.
