What exactly does the WAGNER Wizard do?

The Wizard is a 5-step guided recipe builder on the touchscreen. You select your workpiece geometry (flat, tube, profile, small parts, mesh, grid, deep coating, wheel), the workpiece size (S/M/L), the desired coating structure, the target thickness, and the powder type. The Wizard then calculates the ideal recipe parameters and recommends the best nozzle type, nozzle extension length, and gun distance. It eliminates the trial-and-error that normally takes months to learn.

How does the powder scale work?

A precision scale is built into the base plate under the powder box. It continuously displays the weight and automatically logs measuring points in a logbook tied to the active user account, the selected recipe, and the time period. At the end of a shift or a job, you can see exactly how much powder was consumed per recipe, per operator, per coating run. The data exports via USB for further analysis.

What is the Airclean kit and how fast does it make color changes?

The Airclean kit (Part# 2477212) is an Expert-exclusive option that automates the internal cleaning of the powder hose and gun using compressed air. Wagner rates it at under 30 seconds for a complete internal color change. The Airclean Remote (Part# 2481516) adds a wireless trigger with magnetic feet that the operator can position anywhere in the booth. Neither the Airclean kit nor Remote is available on the standard Sprint 2.

Can I convert the Expert B (box feed) to Expert H (hopper feed)?

Yes. The conversion requires swapping the injector (box uses 2466079, hopper uses 2466080), swapping the hose set, and adding a 60L or 25L hopper. CET can put together the conversion kit.

Does the Expert use the same PEM-X1 gun and injector as the standard Sprint 2?

Yes — identical gun (2322587) and identical Quick-Link injector options. All nozzles, extensions, the CoronaStar accessory, and the PXS collector/injector nozzle upgrades are fully compatible. The Expert’s upgraded output spec (up to 480 g/min vs 420 g/min on the standard) reflects optimized injector nozzle geometries that come standard on the Expert platform.

What is COATIFY and do I need it?

COATIFY is Wagner’s cloud-based information and management platform. When connected via optional interfaces, it pulls process data from the Sprint 2 Expert for centralized monitoring, reporting, and analysis. It’s primarily relevant for multi-station operations, enterprise coating lines, or facilities with ISO/IATF traceability requirements. Most single-station shops can use the USB export instead. Is the Sprint 2 Expert compatible with my existing powder booth?

Yes. The Sprint 2 Expert is a self-contained mobile unit and works with any compliant manual powder coating booth with proper ventilation, grounding, and NFPA 33 compliance. If you need a new booth, CET can pair the Expert with a GFS or equivalent powder booth for turnkey install.
